Keyless Entry

The proximity keyless entry feature of the Kia car lets you open the driver's doors without having to remove your key fob out of pockets or bags. Simply sit at a distance of two feet from the door and then touch the door handle or press the unlock button on the key fob to unlock it hands-free. The liftgate and the trunk can be opened remotely via the Kia key fob.
The battery in a key fob's device can get worn out over time, but it's usually easy to spot warning indicators. Most smart key fobs display an informational message on the system screen if the battery is being exhausted, giving you plenty of time to replace it.
If you purchase a used Kia, check that the digital key and the card key registered (if equipped) are connected to the user profile and personalization settings in the infotainment system settings menu. If not, remove both the digital key and the card key from the user's profile and reregister them using the infotainment menu.
Keyless Start

First, you can unlock the door of your driver using the MECHANICAL KEY that is stored in your Smart Key fob. You will find it on the front of the door handle. It has a silver button that you can press to reveal it. Insert the mechanical key into the lock, then turn left to unlock the door or right to lock it.
Another handy feature is the ability to remote start your car in cold days. This feature is available on several models, but typically only the key fob can be used to activate it. The remote engine start feature is typically identified as a circular arrow, Consumer Reports notes.

Rather than using the normal car alarm use the panic button. Press and hold the panic button for half a second or more to activate your vehicle's full-force horn.
